About

He Chose to Move With It

When Rich was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, he faced a choice that most of us will face at some point in our lives: fight against what is, or find a way to move with it.

Through a deeply mindful approach to living, Ayurvedic nutrition, daily yoga, breathwork, and meditation, Rich discovered that the body has a remarkable capacity to heal, adapt, and find equilibrium, even in the face of a progressive illness. His Parkinson's symptoms haven't disappeared. But they are being met with presence, intention, and courage.

Rich now has over 800 hours of yoga training and a consistent, long-term meditation practice. He brings to the mat everything the Army gave him, discipline, resilience, commitment, and everything yoga gave him back: softness, awareness, and peace.
